EPF Systems represents advanced ceramic microfiltration and ultrafiltration membrane technology in Southern Africa: a 0.1-micron mechanical barrier that removes bacteria, algae and suspended solids without chemical or oxygen balancing, and can be backwashed hard without damaging the membrane.

Independent laboratory results and operating data from ceramic membrane deployments across drinking water, industrial and municipal applications.
Raw water sampled at 600 CFU/100ml E. coli and 4,000 CFU/100ml total coliform. Cholera absent in filtered product across all samples.
Raw sample tested positive for cholera with a heterotrophic plate count of 42,500 CFU/ml. UV-filtered product tested cholera-absent.
5.18 MLD groundwater plant at 575 LMH flux and 99% recovery. Membrane autopsy after four years in service showed zero degradation to hardness, strength, integrity or pore size.
143 MLD deep-well brackish groundwater pre-treatment ahead of reverse osmosis, running at 600–650 LMH flux with 99% recovery.
Industrial process water with COD above 5,000 mg/l treated for reuse, at a specific energy demand of 0.02 kWh/m³.
